Take your business to new heights with the New Normal Entrepreneurial Leadership skills.

Is your strategic plan future oriented?

Take your business to new heights with the New Normal Entrepreneurial Leadership skills.

An Exclusive 1-Day Asia Speakers Bureau (ASB) Workshop

Where: River View Hotel - 382 Havelock Road - SINGAPORE

When: Wednesday, 4 Jan 2012, 9.30am to 5.00pm (Registration starts at 9am)

In the NEW Normal, be prepared for anything. Create change leaders at all levels.

There are still some executives who are waiting for things to return to "normal." It's not going to happen. Constant change is the new normal. Success now requires not just doing it better, but mastering the ability to do it differently.

Technology and globalization are the context of the New Normal. The Power of the Individual and Time are the keys to personal success. The new normal is the new ways to solve old problems on an individual’s new state of mind. The new normal is about connecting future, creativity, new social media into our present life, hobbies and business in the new web 3.0 age. It is a new way of life.

Transformation requires a relentless outside-in focus. That focus should first be applied to identifying opportunities for growth. Then companies need to determine which of their capabilities they can borrow to seize that opportunity, which new capabilities they need to create, and which capabilities exist on the open market to be acquired or sourced through some kind of partnership.

Design thinking is a process for practical, creative resolution of problems or issues that looks for an improved future result.

The worst mistake in strategy is to compete with your competitors on the same thing. You want to find a different kind of value that you can deliver to a different set of customers. Strategy is fundamentally about how you’re going to deliver unique value.

To cope with change, the leader must be Entrepreneurial:

1. Passionately believe that they can make a difference.

2. They envision the future, creating an ideal and unique image of what the organization can become.

3. Search for opportunities to change the status quo.

4. They look for innovative ways to improve the organization.

5. In doing so, they experiment and take risks.

6. Foster collaboration and build spirited teams.

7. They actively involve others.

The Leader as Servant

The Leader as Servant

Where: Spice Sutra Restaurant & Cafe - 200 Upper Thomson Road, Thomson Imperial Court #01-03 (next to the Thomson Community Club and opposite the Long House Hawkers' Centre)
When: Sat, 14 July 2012 - 9 am to 11 am. Registration, welcome drink and networking starts at 8.45am!

Seminar Introduction

Legitimate leadership, influence, is built upon serving, sacrificing, and seeking the greatest good of those being led. Influence does not come because of a title or an army. Influence must be earned. There are no shortcuts.

Anytime we extend our-selves, sacrifice, and serve others, we build authority and thereby influence. If you get your people what they need, they will get you everything you need. Then leadership will be defined not by what we accomplish but by what we get accomplished through others. The servant-leader must constantly ask: How can I use myself to serve best?

Leadership requires selflessness. The will to serve and sacrifice for others, the willingness to set aside our wants and needs in seeking the greatest good for others - this is what it means to be selfless. This is what it means to be a leader. The road to servant leadership lies not in trying to fix or change others but in working on changing and improving ourselves. ‘Everyone wants to change the world, but no one wants to change himself.’

To cope with change, the leader must be:

1) Leaders passionately believe that they can make a difference. They envision the future, creating an ideal and unique image of what the organization can become.

2) Leader search for opportunities to change the status quo. They look for innovative ways to improve the organization. In doing so, they experiment and take risks.

3) Leaders foster collaboration and build spirited teams. They actively involve others.

Leadership is not management. Management is what we do. Leadership is who we are. Leadership is influencing people to contribute their hearts, minds, spirits, creativity, and excellence and to give their all for their team. The servant-first make sure that other people’s highest priority needs are being served.

Good management is the art of making problems so interesting and their solutions so constructive that everyone wants to get to work and deal with them. Servant leaders ask, 'how can I help you to do your job better.'

The goal of this workshop is to provide a simple process people can use to implement the eight principles of servant leadership into their lives and / or organization.

The Value of Failure

The Value of Failure - Turns out that Entrepreneurs have much to teach us here. CONNECTING Amazing CREATIVE THINKING TO ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP Where: RELC International Hotel – 30 Orange Grove Road, Singapore When: Sat, 7 April 2012 - 9.30am to 12.30pm. Registration, welcome drink and networking starts at 8.45am! Seminar Introduction Thomas Edison once said, "I make more mistakes than anyone I know. And eventually I patent them." Many great successes started out as failures. Columbus failed when he set out to find a new route to India. He found America instead (and because he thought it was India he called the natives “Indians”). Champagne was invented by a monk called Dom Perignon when a bottle of wine accidentally had a secondary fermentation. 3M invented glue that was a failure - it did not stick. But it became the basis for the Post-it note, which was a huge success. Failure is Silicon Valley’s greatest strength Your ability to handle failure and rejection defines the size of your financial success. To make no mistakes is not in the power of man; but from their errors and mistakes the wise and good learn wisdom for the future. Mark Victor Hansen once said, "You don't become enormously successful without encountering and overcoming a number of extremely challenging problems." Creative and ideas are not an option for companies any more. They are must-haves. Is your company up to the challenge? Creativity is not the finding of a thing, but the making something out of it after it is found. Leaders, therefore, must be more creative than most, and creativity is largely discovery, a push into the unchartered and the unknown. When the successes and failure of companies are examined, it is clear that achievement over the long-term depends on the ability to innovate, and take the leadership role in the industry. Innovation is more than a good idea. Innovation is the process that takes an idea, improves it, develops it and implements it. In business, there may be no right answers but there are possibilities. Don’t be afraid of failure. It brings knowledge that something didn’t work. Try something new. Seminar Outlines 1. Should we let repeated failures to fail or help repeated failures to succeed? 2. Many great successes started out as failures. 3. Conceiving a business idea – decide, believe, and begin. 4. Entrepreneurial leaders. 5. The 39 creative ideas I did differently for business success. (These ideas would be great sharing!) 6. Sharing third party stories - Moving from divergence to convergence. 7. People and books. Who should attend? Managers and executives who have to lead people All Business Owners & Self-employed people that are building their business We recommend that organizations send a senior team from various departments to this seminar. Experience has shown that team attendance sharply increases and accelerates the benefits derived by the organization. Investment for attending this half-day workshop: S$165 per participant.
